It is not only the most recent winter resort in our country, but also the largest and most modern. Located at 3,025 m above sea level, 60 km from Santiago, it has a skiable area of ​​9,000 hectares and a drop of 810 m. Together with those of La Parva and El Colorado-Farellones, they constitute the largest skiable area in South America. In addition, the center has the infrastructure to make snow, and cover 30% of the skiable area.



For snowboarding fans, Valle Nevado has taken care to be up-to-date on a technological level and thus keep its Snow Park and Half Pipe in perfect condition. The Half Pipe allows you to experience the Free Style modality, practiced frequently; and the Snow Park has a special place reserved for jumps, figures and various pirouettes (it can also be used with skis).



This season, too, the ski center has specific programs for heliskiing and heliboarding and for this Valle Nevado has a Bell 407 helicopter that takes athletes to altitudes of 4,500 meters. Accompanied by experienced guides, they descend through virgin snows with more than 2,000 meters of unevenness, to slide down the majestic and steep slopes of the Andes Mountains.

The ski center has permanent attention on slopes of 20 ski patrols of the center itself, to which is added the support of the Chilean Ski Patrol Corps (ten additional volunteers on weekends, vacations and holidays). They are people trained with first aid and mountain rescue courses.



46 km. east of Santiago, Metropolitan Region.

Leaving Santiago towards the East (Avda. Kennedy and Avda. Las Condes), take the Camino a Farellones. The road is paved and it is 32 km until the turnoff to Valle Nevado, two km. before Farellones. From there it is 14 km. more to the ski center.

Traffic is controlled by the Carabineros and it is mandatory to wear snow chains. Between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., the transit is only going up and between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. only going down.





Valle Nevado is distinguished by a pleasant climate, with a large number of clear days throughout the season and an excellent quality of snow thanks to its orientation and height.



Its infrastructure includes three hotels, a heated pool, a fitness center, an events center and seven restaurants, as well as a pub, bar and shops, among other services.



To visit the place, it is very practical to participate in the climbs that are organized from the El Arrayán area on weekends and holidays.
