The Zonal Archaeological Museum of Cabana, was created on February 28, 1980 and is managed by the INC - Regional Directorate of Culture of Ancash, in the first room (located on the first level) different examples of lithosculptures or monoliths that have been recovered in the Pashash Archaeological Monument, as well as small semi-precious objects, some examples of the possible Recuay boards, and information panels where pre-Hispanic architecture, its development in the region, etc are explained in a general and comparative way; while in the second room (located on the second level) artisan production objects in ceramics and metallurgy are exhibited, complemented, as in the first room, with the presentation of information panels where the cultural, temporal, geographical context is addressed , life, subsistence and technology of the Pashash - Recuay culture.

This museum is considered the most modern and explanatory museum in the Ancash region and its collection includes a series of movable cultural assets that have been rescued and recovered during the research and conservation work carried out in the Pashash Archaeological Monument. .



It has one of the best collections of ceramic material from the Recuay culture.



The Zonal Archaeological Museum of Cabana is responsible for ensuring the study, care, preservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the province of Pallasca and is part of the so-called main tourist circuit of the city of Cabana.
