Pítipo is a recently formed town, its managers were: Don Simón Carbonel Neyra, Santiago Cabrejos Inoñan, Luciano Grandos Ilma, Arcelio Villegas Neyra, Gerónimo Villarreal Sancarranco, Adán Hoyos Neyra, etc. The land where it is currently located was donated by Dr. Francisco Muro Moreno and the other by Agusta López Arenas, a lady from Ferreña.



The fertility of its lands and the kindness of its climate make it a purely agricultural district, where rice, sugar, breadfruit and fruit trees such as mango, plum, guabas, mamey, etc. predominate.



In its jurisdiction there are 4 rice mills ´´Virgen del Carmen´´, ´´Cruz de Bobadilla´´, ´´Santa Águeda´´ and Piladora ´´San Martín´´.



On May 13 they celebrate the feast of the ´´Virgin de Fátima´´. On this day, the people of Pitipeños bring out their typical northern clothes, a varied menu of foods from the place where the cause predominates, rice with kid and beans, toyo ceviche, piqueos de cabaya, settled with their strong chicha. Starting in the afternoon, it is common to see in almost the entire town, razor-sharp cock fights (Pítipo is considered the land of the navajero roosters) and an exhibition of paso horses.
