The Regional Museum "Santos Vega" is a must for the visitor in General Lavalle. Its walls were a faithful witness to our history, on the banks of the Ría Ajó. They were built by Don José Thomás Pereira as an extension to the wood and sheet metal houses where he served his clientele since 1847 and called it Boliche del Tuyú and thus with this new brick building it becomes the large general store called "La Comercial" where carts and wagons loaded and unloaded the merchandise on the large gates of its corralón. In 1874 Bartolomé Miter recruits his troops there. In 1900 it became "Farmacia Latina". Years later in wool and leather warehouse until it became municipal property.

Our museum has three visiting rooms, two for the history of the party and one for the Fundación Vida Silvestre.

Crowned by a large park where the Carlos Echeverría Main Stage is located, in which place the Santos Vega National Week Festival is held year after year. Talas, espinillos, a cistern of the time, carriages, and the incorporation of a sculptural relief by the artist Luis Perlotti made in stone and bronze by Payador Santos Vega
