Just in front of our hotel you cannot fail to find Germany’s highest maypole (58 metres) which was erected here in 2006 when the hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The village of Abbehausen builds a gateway to the Butjadingen peninsula. Wander along the embankment through salt marshes towards dreamy little harbours, right through the green Marsch river, past homesteads and tiny villages.
