Just in front of our hotel you cannot fail to find Germany’s highest maypole (58 metres) which was erected here in 2006 when the hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The village of Abbehausen builds a gateway to the Butjadingen peninsula. Wander along the embankment through salt marshes towards dreamy little harbours, right through the green Marsch river, past homesteads and tiny villages. For a truly unforgettable experience on the North Sea coast, sail to the harbour seal banks in the Wattenmeer national park. We particularly welcome families, groups and clubs, and have team-building programmes on the following themes, to name but a few: stable-lad training, leading a horse-drawn carriage, train-driving, steering a ship, ten-pin bowling or children’s birthdays.
